SDC Verifier 2026 R2 Expands Structural Verification for Offshore, Marine, and Complex Engineering Projects

SDC Verifier 2026 R2 Expands Structural Verification for Offshore, Marine, and Complex Engineering Projects

New release adds major offshore and marine standards, multiaxial fatigue capabilities, enhanced tubular connection verification, and a new 3D visualization experience.

September 2026 — SDC Verifier has released SDC Verifier 2026 R2. The release focuses on four major areas: broader engineering code coverage, multiaxial fatigue assessment, improved tubular connection verification, and faster, more interactive result visualization in SDC for Ansys.

Expanded standards for offshore, marine, and structural steel verification
SDC Verifier 2026 R2 adds several important standards and expands existing implementations.
The new BV NR526 Plate Buckling (2026) standard supports plate buckling verification for lifting appliances onboard ships and offshore units in accordance with Bureau Veritas NR526, Chapter 2, Appendix 4.
The release also introduces API RP 2A-LRFD Connections (2nd Edition, 2019) and ISO 19902 Connections (2nd Edition, 2020) for tubular joint verification in offshore structures.
For structural steel applications, AS 4100 Members (2020) has been expanded with support for T-sections and equal-leg angle sections.
SDC Verifier can also now combine DNV-RP-C201 for flat plate buckling with DNV-RP-C202 for curved plate buckling, allowing engineers to verify structures containing both geometries within one workflow.
Together, these additions extend the range of offshore, marine, lifting, and steel structures that engineers can verify directly from their finite element models.

New Multiaxial Fatigue capabilities
SDC Verifier 2026 R2 introduces a new Multiaxial Fatigue Tool based on DNV-RP-C203 Fatigue (October 2024), Chapter 5.6.
The new capability is designed for fatigue problems where normal and shear stresses interact and the principal stress direction can change during the loading history.
This gives engineers a more robust way to prepare complex FEA stress histories for fatigue assessment in applications where conventional uniaxial approaches are not sufficient (complex cyclic loading, specific fatigue cases).

Stronger tubular connection verification
Tubular joint verification is another major focus of the release.
The Brace Stress Tool now supports both elastic and plastic buckling stresses, and supported ISO, API, and NORSOK connection standards have been updated accordingly.
Combined with the new API RP 2A-LRFD and ISO 19902 implementations, these improvements provide broader and more detailed verification capabilities for tubular connections used in offshore structures.
The result is a more integrated workflow for evaluating braces, joints, and connection capacity without separating these checks from the underlying FE model and structural data.

New 3D View in SDC for Ansys
SDC Verifier 2026 R2 also introduces a new 3D View in SDC for Ansys, currently available as a BETA feature.
For engineers working with large or complex Ansys models, the new visualization environment makes it easier to inspect structural verification results directly on the model and identify critical areas faster.

A stronger verification workflow for complex structures
SDC Verifier 2026 R2 continues the product’s development toward deeper automated verification of complex structures directly from finite element models.
The combination of new offshore and marine standards, multiaxial fatigue capabilities, improved tubular connection verification, and better 3D result visualization gives engineering teams broader verification coverage while reducing the need to move structural data between separate calculation and post-processing tools.
The release is available across the SDC Verifier product ecosystem, including standalone SDC Verifier and extensions for major FEA environments.

About SDC Verifier
SDC Verifier is structural analysis and verification software that works with major FEA environments and helps engineers automate structural design checks according to industry standards.
The software combines structural recognition, code-based verification, result of post-processing, and automated reporting to help engineering teams evaluate complex structures and produce calculation documentation.
