Living near Oxford in the UK, I’m no stranger to a traffic jam. I think only Cambridge gets near the home of the dreaming spires for travel chaos. And whilst stuck on the A40, onthe way to the park and ride to continue my tiresome journey to work, I’ve often wondered if the time spent stationary is ever repaid by reduced journey times later on. For the record, I’m now pretty sure it isn’t.
